Well, Tyler and I have made a huge list of new years resolutions that we hope to achieve this year. I hope to achieve the usual, lose 15 lbs, eat better, go to bed earlier, go to class, do all of my assignments, but we also really hope to read our scriptures everyday and attend the temple once a month. The new year is a great time to make new goals for ourselves and get a new start at life.
So, after having lost our keys and going totally crazy ...WE FOUND THEM!!! Of all places they were under our mattress, between our mattress and box spring, how they got there, I have no idea. So after finding them and Tyler being as happy as a little school girl, he lost them AGAIN!! He is not meant to have a set of keys. I wish they had a remote control alarm or something that you can attach to your keys and then when you have misplaced them, push a button and then an alarm will go off that you can follow the sound and find you keys. So, we were at my parents place when he lost the keys for the second time, well really my Dad lost them. We were out skating with my sisters and my dad needed to move our car so he could go out. My dad took Ty's keys to move the car then said that he put them back in Ty's coat pocket. Tyler searched his jacket inside and out (or so he said). After 2 more days of Tyler being convinced that my dad lost the keys, I decided to take another look in his jacket. Low and behold they were of course in his pocket. Mind you the keys were in a pocket that Tyler didn't even know that he had, they were still there. I have now made it my mission to help my husband to not lose his keys for the next week, that might be impossible.
These last two months have been some pretty painful ones. My grandmother, we know her best as Nana, and my great grandmother have past away. With my Nana it was pretty sudden. She had been sick for a while but I never thought her life would end as fast as it did. My grandmother past away just this past weekend. She was 88 years old and we had been expecting it for a very very long time. Since her husbands passing almost 15 years ago grandma just wanted to leave this earth and return to him.
It is so different how having the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in our lives can help us to understand and deal with death. I remember that when my grandfather past away 2 years ago I really didn't have a full understanding of life on earth and why it had to end. I now know it is all a part of God's plan. I just think of how extremly happy Nana and Grandma must be right now. They have returned to their Father in Heaven. They are surrounded by their loved ones and ancestors. Although my family may be sad right now, our time on earth is so short in an eternal perspective that we will return to them in no time. Our loved ones that pass away do remember us and love us and understand that we need to go through the grieving process but we need to remember to live our lives, in this world, in a way that will make our family and our father in heaven happy and honoured when we return to them.

LOST OUR KEYS!
So, the last few days have been very hectic. Christmas was a ton of fun. Christmas eve we went on a sleigh ride with my mom's family. We celebrated just the two of us at our apartment Christmas morning and later went to my parents and Ty's parents for visits. It was a big change from what I am used to for Christmas. Because we are now married we needed to make some changes so it suited both of us. Usually I have about 4 Christmas dinners over two days, but this year we only had one at Ty's parents.
2 Days ago Tyler lost his keys to the house and the car.......oh boy. He has been ripping the house apart ever since. We have looked EVERYWHERE!!! If you were keys where would you be? He remembers, he thinks, where he last had them but still can not find them. We hope that he really lost them and that they were not stolen from like the key hole in our apartment door. We hop they turn up!
Boxing day we had a nasty surprise. We woke up and got ready to go and visit the Peterson family when on our way out we found throw-up all over the front stairs. It was disgusting. It took the people who live upstairs 2 whole days to actually clean it up. We were not happy. So we had planned for my parents to visit yesterday. I went upstairs to clean the landing (straighten up out shows and what not) and saw and smelt that there was still throw up all over the place. So I took it into my own hands and decided to clean it so that my poor parents wouldn't have to see or smell that. So I put on my rubber gloves and got to work. 1 hour and 2 rolls of paper towel later it was finally clean and smelling fresher then it had been. Purely disgusting!!!!!!!!!!
Well other then that, life has been pretty chilled out. We had a great first Christmas together and have just been relaxing trying to not think about school!
Today we will be taking our tree and Christmas decorations down. We started writing out our goals for the new year, the list is huge but I hope we will be able to accomplish all of them!

CRAZY WEATHER!
So Saturday was a fun filled day. We went to the movies and saw The Golden Compass. It was really good. Tyler then had to go to work so I went to the in laws place to chill out. We knew that the forecast was calling for heavy snow fall and bad conditions but we never thought it would be as bad as it was.
Since Ty worked for a shuttle company, he drives people to and from the airport, I was worried about him driving in those bad conditions. He came home long after I had gone to bed and said that the roads were a mess.
To my surprise when we woke up in the morning the roads we about a foot covered with snow. It took Ty and his Dad about 2 hours to shovel all of the snow. It was still snowing when we woke up and continued all day. We were stuck!
We ended up staying at his parents house because there was so much snow and we didn't want to drive on the snow covered roads.
The snow plows didn't come until this morning when we could finally shovel ourselves out and come home, to find our driveway completely invisible due to the amount of snow covering it. Thanks to Ty and Tim the were able to shovel it away and park the car safely.
It has been quite the last few days!!!!
