LOST OUR KEYS!

So, the last few days have been very hectic. Christmas was a ton of fun. Christmas eve we went on a sleigh ride with my mom's family. We celebrated just the two of us at our apartment Christmas morning and later went to my parents and Ty's parents for visits. It was a big change from what I am used to for Christmas. Because we are now married we needed to make some changes so it suited both of us. Usually I have about 4 Christmas dinners over two days, but this year we only had one at Ty's parents.

2 Days ago Tyler lost his keys to the house and the car.......oh boy. He has been ripping the house apart ever since. We have looked EVERYWHERE!!! If you were keys where would you be? He remembers, he thinks, where he last had them but still can not find them. We hope that he really lost them and that they were not stolen from like the key hole in our apartment door. We hop they turn up!

Boxing day we had a nasty surprise. We woke up and got ready to go and visit the Peterson family when on our way out we found throw-up all over the front stairs. It was disgusting. It took the people who live upstairs 2 whole days to actually clean it up. We were not happy. So we had planned for my parents to visit yesterday. I went upstairs to clean the landing (straighten up out shows and what not) and saw and smelt that there was still throw up all over the place. So I took it into my own hands and decided to clean it so that my poor parents wouldn't have to see or smell that. So I put on my rubber gloves and got to work. 1 hour and 2 rolls of paper towel later it was finally clean and smelling fresher then it had been. Purely disgusting!!!!!!!!!!

Well other then that, life has been pretty chilled out. We had a great first Christmas together and have just been relaxing trying to not think about school!
Today we will be taking our tree and Christmas decorations down. We started writing out our goals for the new year, the list is huge but I hope we will be able to accomplish all of them!

CRAZY WEATHER!

So Saturday was a fun filled day. We went to the movies and saw The Golden Compass. It was really good. Tyler then had to go to work so I went to the in laws place to chill out. We knew that the forecast was calling for heavy snow fall and bad conditions but we never thought it would be as bad as it was.
Since Ty worked for a shuttle company, he drives people to and from the airport, I was worried about him driving in those bad conditions. He came home long after I had gone to bed and said that the roads were a mess.
To my surprise when we woke up in the morning the roads we about a foot covered with snow. It took Ty and his Dad about 2 hours to shovel all of the snow. It was still snowing when we woke up and continued all day. We were stuck!
We ended up staying at his parents house because there was so much snow and we didn't want to drive on the snow covered roads.
The snow plows didn't come until this morning when we could finally shovel ourselves out and come home, to find our driveway completely invisible due to the amount of snow covering it. Thanks to Ty and Tim the were able to shovel it away and park the car safely.
It has been quite the last few days!!!!

Our first post!

Well, this is the first time we are writing. It is a little late, I know, but now is better then never.

So Tyler and I have been married for 6 months now. It has been a quite an exciting ride. We are so happy with everything. So to get everyone on the same page.

Tyler is in his 2nd year of concurrent education, with 3 years left. I am in my 3rd year of concurrent education and have 2 years left.

We transferred from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay to the new Lakehead campus in Orillia since it was closer to family.

We just finished our first semesters and are enjoying the break. I have my last exam tomorrow, Ty had his on Thursday.

We are living in Orillia in a quaint 2 bedroom basement apartment. We like it but seem to always be going to Barrie for work or family. So we are thinking about moving to Barrie and maybe buy a home of our own.

We put our Christmas tree up on December 1st. It is an awesome tree. I absolutely love it. It is so exciting being able to do our own thing and decorate how we like. I never noticed how similar our tastes are, which is really fantastic.

I hope that we will write here often so that we can keep everyone updated especially those that we care about who live far away and we may not get to see as often as we like.
